The Committee discussed definitions and decided that Section 12-52(b) needed different <br />wording to clarify that the fire code official shall mean the fire marshal. <br />As discussion of the amendments continued, Council Member Kear stated that adoption <br />of the 2006 Fire Code would be beneficial to staff and citizens, in that the process of inspections <br />would be more uniform. Chief Grooms said that staff was currently operating under the 1994 <br />Fire Code, the 2003 Building Code and the City of Paris Ordinances. Council Member Kear <br />reiterated that sprinkler systems were already mandated under the 2003 Building Code. <br />Chairman Waldrum said it was his understanding that the Fire Code had separate rules <br />for historic districts. Chief Grooms said Section 34.07 of the Building Code contained rules for <br />the Historic District. Chairman Waldrum asked the Committee to review the next several pages <br />of the proposed Ordinance in order to be prepared for the next meeting. <br />3. Future agenda items. <br />Chairman Waldrum asked the Committee if they wanted to meet December 1 St and 15 `h or <br />have one meeting on December 8th. It was a consensus of the Committee to meet on December <br />8tn at 5:00 p.m. <br />4.
