MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS. TEXAS <br />MONDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2010 <br />5:30 0'CLOCK P.M. <br />The regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, February 1, <br />2010, was called to order at 5:31 p.m. by Bill Harris, Vice-Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Bee Gannon <br />Richard Hunt <br />Bill Harris <br />Keith Barnett <br />Darin Manning <br />Benny Plata <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Curtis Fendley, Chairman <br />C. Shawn Napier, Director of Engineering, Planning and Development; and Council <br />Member Rhonda Rogers were also present. <br />2. Approval of minutes from psā¢evious meeting. (January 4, 2010) <br />Motion was made by Keith Barnett, seconded by Darin Manning to approve the minutes <br />for the January 4, 2010 meeting. Motion carried 6-0. <br />3. Public hearing an.d consideiā¢ation of and action on the petition of GBT Realiry for a change <br />in zoning from an One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2) to a Commercial District <br />(C), on Lot Part of 9, City Block 250, being located in the 2300 Block ofNorth Main Street. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Mark Ellis, 230 Anthony Drive, Tyler, Texas, surveyor on the project. Mr. Ellis stated <br />they are proposing a Dollar General Store at this location, which is predominately <br />commercial zoned property. He further stated the zoning change is an appropriate for <br />what they are asking. <br />~ <br />
