DRAFT <br />attorney\reswork\current\Award Bid - Portland Cement Concrete 2010 <br />RESOLUTION N0. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />ACCEPTING THE BID AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE TO TRANSIT MIX IN THE AMOUNT OF $87.00 <br />PER CUBIC YARD FOR CLASS "A" (5 SACK), $89.00 PER CUBIC YARD FOR <br />CLASS "C" (6 SACK), A1VD $82.00 PER CUBIC YARD FOR PORTLAIVD CEMENT <br />GROUT, FOR USE IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, by Invitation to Bid published in the Paris News on January 31, 2010 & <br />February 7, 2010, the Public Works Department of the City of Paris solicited bids for roadway <br />materials to be used by the Street, Water and Sewer Divisions of the Public Works Department <br />from March 1, 2010 through March 1, 2011; and, <br />WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bid received for Portland Cement Concrete was made by <br />Transit Mix in the amount of $87.00 per cubic yard for Class "A" (5 sack), $89.00 per cubic yard for <br />Class "C" (6 sack), and $82.00 per cubic yard for Portland Cement Grout; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br />Section 2. That the bid of Transit Mix for the furnishing and delivery of Portland Cement <br />Concrete for use in the various divisions of the Public Works Department, in the amount of $87.00 <br />per cubic yard for Class "A", $89.00 per cubic yard for Class "C," and $82.00 per cubic yard for <br />Portland Cement Grout, is hereby accepted and let conditioned upon said vendor meeting all of the <br />terms and specifications included in the bid documents, attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />Section 3.
