DRAFT <br />attorney\reswork\current\Awd Bid Grit Removal WWTP Res 2010 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />ACCEPTIIVG THE BID AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A <br />GRIT REMOVAL SYSTEM TO SMITH & LOVELESS, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$78,980.00, FOR USE IN THE CITY OF PARIS WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT; <br />MAKING OTHER FINDIIVGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; A1VD <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, by Invitation to Bid published in the Paris News on February 14, 2010 & <br />February 21, 2010, the Utilities Department of the City of Paris solicited bids for a grit removal <br />system to be used at the Wastewater Treatment Plant; and, <br />WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bid received for the grit removal system was made by <br />Smith & Loveless, Inc. of 14040 Santa Fe Trail Drive, Lenaxa, Kansas 66215 in the amount of <br />$78,980.00; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br />Section 2. That the bid of Smith & Loveless, inc. for the furnishing and delivery of the grit <br />removal system for use in the City of Paris Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the amount of <br />$78,980.00, is hereby accepted and let conditioned upon said vendor meeting all of the terms and <br />specifications included in the bid documents, attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />Section 3.
