CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br />at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 22, 2010. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br />Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted <br />upon are as follows: <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />2. Invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />(Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The <br />Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the <br />matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. <br />Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not <br />appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br />Consent Agenda <br />Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable <br />to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed <br />from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. <br />5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on March 8, 2010. <br />6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, <br />commissions, and committees: <br />a. Paris Economic Development Corporation (2-9-2010) <br />b. Fire and Building Code Review Committee (2-23-2010) <br />c. Paris Historic Preservation Commission (2-10-2010; 2-22-2010) <br />d. Board of Adjustment (1-5-2010) <br />e. Paris Public Library Advisory Board (1-20-2010; 2-17-2010) <br />7. Deliberate on February monthly financial report. <br />8. Deliberate and act on a Resolution approving a proclamation declaring the month of <br />April as Fair Housing Month. <br />9. Deliberate and act on a Resolution accepting the bid and awarding a contract for a grit <br />removal system to the lowest responsible bidder for the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and <br />authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. <br />10. Deliberate and act on a Resolution accepting the bid and awarding the contract for the <br />curb/gutter, driveway approaches and reinforced concrete to the lowest responsible <br />bidder. <br />11. Deliberate on drainage ditch maintenance report. <br />12. Deliberate and act on a Resolution approving the purchase of 165 Center Street; and <br />authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. <br />
