RESOLUTIOIV 1V0. 2010-040 A RESOLUTIOIV OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A GRIT REMOVAL SYSTEM TO SMITH & LOVELESS, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $78,980.00, FOR USE IN THE CITY OF PARIS WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, by Invitation to Bid published in the Paris IVews on February 14, 2010 & February 21, 2010, the Utilities Department of the City of Paris solicited bids for a grit removal system to be used at the Wastewater Treatment Plant; and, WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bid received for the grit removal system was made by Smith & Loveless, Inc. of 14040 Santa Fe Trail Drive, Lenaxa, Kansas 66215 in the amount of $78,980.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the bid of Smith & Loveless, inc. for the furnishing and delivery of the grit removal system for use in the City of Paris Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the amount of $78,980.00, is hereby accepted and let conditioned upon said vendor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents, attached hereto as Exhibit A.
