<br /> $15,852,036. Approximately 92.27% of this total amount ($14,628,082) constitutes unreserved fund balance, which is
<br /> available for spending at the government's discretion. The remainder of fund balance is reserved to indicate that it is not
<br /> available for new spending because it has already been committed to 1) construction ($163,326), 2) pay debt service
<br /> ($712,570), 3) outstanding notes ($132,930), and 4) inventories ($215,128).

<br /> The general fund is the chief op rating fund of the City of Paris. At the end of the current fiscal year, unreserved fund balance
<br /> of the general fund was $13, 51,446 ($11,478,815 the previous year), while total fund balance reached $13,966,574
<br /> ($11,730,226 the previous year'. The increase in the fund balance of the general fund was due to increased revenues and
<br /> other financing sources. Asa measure of the general fund's liquidity, it may be useful to compare both unreserved fund
<br /> balance and total fund balance total fund expenditures. Unreserved fund balance represents 64.58% of total general fund
<br /> expenditures, while total fund balance represents 65.59% of that same amount.
