MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 20, 2010 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. Chris Brown called the Building and Standards Commission ineeting to order at 4:00 <br />P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Chris Brown <br />Ryan Lassiter <br />Vicki Ballard <br />Zach Saffle <br />Lee Ann Barbee <br />B. Th,e following members were absent: <br />Bi11 Harris <br />Wendell Moore <br />C. Also present was Robert Talley, Code Enforcement Officer. <br />2. Approval,of minutes from previous meetings. (October 19, 2009) <br />Motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes for the October 19, 2009 <br />meeting. <br />3. Public Hjparing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors and <br />owner(s) andlor lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been given notice of <br />a violatiaiib of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Teyas, entitled ASubstandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures@: <br />A. 35512th Street N.E.; Lot 21, City Block 70 - Motion was made by Lee Ann <br />Barbee, seconded by Vicki Ballard, to allow 30 days to demolish. If the property <br />is not demolished in 30 days the City may demolish, with a$1,000 per day civil <br />penalty. Motion carried unaniinously. <br />B. 529 14"' Street N.E.; Lot 3, Hicks lst Addition - Motion was made by Lee Ann <br />Bajrbee, seconded by Vicki Ballard, to allow 30 days to demolish. If the property <br />is not demolished in 30 days the City may demolish, with a$1,000 per day civil. <br />penalty. Motion carried unanimously. <br />C. 6118 lOth Street N.E.; Lot 18, City Block 69-A - Motion was made by Lee Ann <br />Barbee, seconded by Vicki Ballard, to allow 30 days to demolish.
