Call meeting to order. <br />Chairman Waldrum called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. The llov <br />were present: Bobby Smallwood, Carolyn Whelchel, Jerry Haning, John Fus n, J <br />Kim Stephens, and Mike Davenport. Also, present were city staff Janice Elli , Ro <br />and Dale Mayberry. City Manager Kevin Carruth and City Attorney ent 1 <br />attending a Paris Economic Development Corporation meeting. <br />2. Ch' <br />f Grooms <br />t they n <br />ded to do <br />Subject to a correction being made to Section 505.1.1 to reflect that th last two <br />paragraphs of the proposed amendment are to remain in the Ordinance, a Mo ion to prove the <br />minutes was made by Carolyn Whelchel and seconded by Bobby Smallwoo . Mot n carried <br />unanimously. <br />3. Deliberate and review of the Fire and Building Codes. <br />Prior to moving forward, Fire Chief Ronnie Grooms and Fire Mars <br />asked that the Committee reconsider Section 508.5.1. Mr. Mayberry expla <br />requesting a supplemental water supply within 100 feet, was that the second <br />truck getting water to fight the fire. Bobby Smallwood, Carolyn Whelchel, J <br />Fuston, and Mike Davenport said they did not have a problem with lea <br />amendment in the Ordinance. Jerry Haning expressed concern about the add <br />pointed out this amendment was for buildings that already had sprinkler syste <br />told the Committee that it was bothersome to the Fire Department to do wha <br />with limited resources. A Motion to place Section 508.5.1 back into the pro <br />was made by Johnny Norris and seconded by Bobby Smallwood. Motion carr <br />with Jerry Haning casting the dissenting vote. <br />Chairman Waldrum referred the Committee to the proposed amendr <br />page 26 of the draft Ordinance. The Committee continued their review of <br />made the following suggestions: <br />Sections 907.2.1 & 907.2.3 including the exceptions - delete. <br />Sections 907. 2.12; 907. 4; 907. 6.1; 907. 9. 2; 907.15.1; 910.1; 910.2.4, <br />6 a*s - 1 nay, <br />members <br />iy Norris, <br />Grooms, <br />var were <br />23, 2010. <br />; on <br />and <br />910.3 delete. <br />1t <br />
