Our officers are trained in cultural diversity, public awareness, and legal updates of all Federal, <br />State, and case laws on a regular basis. <br />Proposed Proiect Activities <br />Our coverage area is approximately 8,000 square miles with a population of just over 500,000 <br />over twelve counties. There are over 750,000 vehicles registered in our area with an estimated five <br />(5) percent average increase over our coverage area. We assist with cases in forty-two (42) different <br />agencies. The agencies in our area are smaller agencies with no full-time auto theft investigators. <br />We have had the same number of officers since the inception in September, 1994. The Northeast <br />Texas ATTF with DPS CID presented a Basic Auto Theft training class on April 15, 2010 that had <br />forty students and another planned in the fiscal year in Greenville, Hunt County, Texas. <br />ABTPA-25 <br />IQ 0 <br />
