Sta'uctural Engineering Proposal Sheet 2 of 2
TO: Mr. Paul K. Denney DATE: 01/25/2010
Denney Architects
FROM: Donna Dietz, P.E.
Construction Document Services:
We do not recommend that Option 3 be used, due to the lack of connecrivity of the existing
limestone elements and the displacemenUmovement that has occurred. We do not feel that
the structure is sufficiently stable to perform construction while it remains erected.
Option 2 is our preferred system of support. With the expense of the dismantlement,
archival, restoration and reassembly, the most positive approach is always to provide a
deep foundation system and suspenderl foundation.
1. Kassaw and Dietz, Inc., proposes to perform the above described structural
engineering work for Option 2 on an hourly basis with a not to exceeci amount of
Six T'housand and Five Hundred Dollars (6,500).
