CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2010. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual infonnatiou. Claims against the City, Council Members, or eanployees, as well as individual personnel appeais are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) Consent Agenda ltems on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the ineetings on May 10, 2010; May 18, 2010; and May 24, 2010. 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. Paris Public Library Advisory Board (3-17-2010; 4-21-2010) b. Paris Historic Preservation Commission (3-22-2010; 4-14-2010) 7. Deliberate and act on a Resolution approving final payment and closing the contract with Sanitation Solutions for the demolition of One Oak Place; and authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. 8. Deliberate and act on a Resolution authorizing a change order, final payment, and closing the contract with B. Bray Construction for water and sewer line replacements on W. Washington, Culbertson, and Cleveland Streets; and authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. 9. Deliberate, first reading, and possibly act on an Ordinance Amending the City of Paris Code of Ordinances by revising Section 26-1 to authorize the staffing levels of the Police Department. . Regular Agenda 10. Proclamation recognizing the North Lamar Pantherette Softball Team for winning the State 3A Championship. 11. Hear and deliberate on water and sewer rate study presentation.
