2010-063 RES APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT AND CLOSING OUT THE CONTRACT FOR THE DEMOLITION AND DISPOSAL OF VARIOUS STRUCTURES

RESOLUTION NO. 2010-063 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT AND CLOSING OUT THE CONTRACT FOR THE DEMOLITIOIV AND DISPOSAL OF VARIOUS STRUCTURES AT THE ONE OAK PLACE BUILDING LOCATED AT 655 GRAHAM STREET IN THE CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 25th day of January, 2010, in Resolution No. 2010-017, award the contract for the demolition and disposal of various structures at the One Oak Place Building located at 655 Graham Street in the City of Paris to Sanitation Solutions of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends that final payment be made and the closing of the contract for said project based upon the completion of said demolition and disposal project; and, WHEREAS, the final payment to Sanitation Solutions and the closing of said demolition and disposal contract should, in all things, be approved and the City manager should be authorized to execute any necessary documents. 1VOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That final payment to Sanitation Solutions be approved and the closing of the Contract for the demolition and disposal Project at One Oak Place Building be accepted upon receipt of an executed Final Payment and Release of All Claims Affidavit by Sanitation Solutions. Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, any necessary documents. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 14th day of June, 2010. Will Biard, Mayor
