Advertisement and Invitation for Bids The City of Paris will receive sealed bids for the unit price general construction contract for the construction of a single span 60 foot steel I-beam bridge with concrete deck, abutments and wingwalls, including i°oadway approaches, embankments, and associated work, until 3:00 p.m. on lune 4, 2010, at City of Paris Council Chambers, 107 East Kaufinan Street, Paris, TX 75460, at which tiine bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers. The Plans, Specifications, and otller Conri•act Documents may be exainined at the following places: City of Paris, City Hall, 135 SE l" Sh•eet, Pai-is, TX 75460, 903-784-9234. McGraw-Hill Dodge, 9155 Sterling Dr., Suite 160, Irving, TX 75063. Copies of the Contract Docwnents may be obtained froni the City of Paris, at the above address upon the payment of $100 (payable to the City of Paris) for each set. The OWNER shall refund $35 per complete set of Contract Documents that are returned in good condition to the OWNER within 30 days after the date bids are received. The OWNER reserves the right ta waive any infonnalities or to reject any or al] bids. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be subinitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Paris or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond.
