CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) Consent Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on June 1, 2010 and June 14, 2010. 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. PEDC minutes (5-13-2010) b. Airport Advisory Board minutes (3-18-2010) c. Paris Visitors and Convention Council minutes (4-14-2010) d. Board of Adjustment minutes (4-13-2010) e. Historic Preservation Commission (5-24-2010) 7. Deliberate on May monthly financial report. 8. Deliberate on drainage ditch maintenance report. 9. Deliberate and act on a Resolution approving the PEDC Resolution authorizing the Amended Promissory Note and Second Addendum to Security Agreement between Paris Packaging, Inc. and Paris Economic Development Corporation to lower the interest on said Note and said Security Agreement co-extensive with the term of the PEDC Taxable Sales Taxable Sales Tax Revenue Bonds, Series, 1998. 10. Deliberate and act on a Resolution awarding the bid and authorizing the contract for the demolition and disposal of dilapidated structures in the City of Paris.
