Standpipe svstems <br />A$100.00 fee is required for the installation and/or modification of any standpipe <br />system that is not a component of an automatic sprinkler system. <br />(c) Required Fire Operational Permit Fees <br />Ex,plosives: <br />A$100.00 fee is required for the use of an explosive or explosive device when <br />such use is not related to a public fireworks display with free admission to the <br />public. <br />Fire hydrants and valves: <br />A $50.00 fee is required. <br />Exceptions: <br />(1) The permit fee will be waived for authorized employees of the City of Paris in <br />performance of their duties. <br />(2) A fire permit fee will be waived for the use of a hydrant whereby a meter has <br />been installed in accordance with a billing arrangement through the City of <br />Paris Water Billing Department or the Lamar County Water Supply District. <br />Additionally: <br />The Fire Code Official will be notified of all hydrant use including the <br />installation of hydrant meters. <br />Hot-Work Operations: <br />A$25.00 event fee is required for public hot-work exhibitions and <br />demonstrations. <br />Open Burning: <br />A permit, issued at no charge, is required for the kindling and maintaining of any <br />and all fires that meet the definition of "Open Burning" within the City of Paris. <br />Exceptions: <br />(1) A"Training Fire" conducted by the Paris Fire Department. <br />Additionally: <br />(1) A property of at least ten (10) acres in size and zoned "Agricultural" by the <br />City of Paris, may qualify for an Agricultural Burn Permit. <br />(2) An Agricultural Burn Permit will be valid for one (1) full year beginning the <br />date of issuance. <br />(3) Only brush, limbs, leaves, trees, and/or other natural vegetation generated <br />from the property in question, may be burned. <br />(4) A Standard Burn Permit may be issued for "Disposal" and "Recreational" <br />fires. Only brush, limbs, leaves, trees, and clean-untreated lumber may be <br />burned." <br />Section 3. That all provisions of the ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas in conflict with <br />the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other provisions of the ordinances of the <br />-3- <br />
