Seven companies <br />picked up RFPs but only two bids were received and both bids were considerably over budget. Hayter <br />Engineering revised the specifications by narrowing the width by 2' 8" and shortening the length by 20'. <br />In addition, the seeding, mulching, and parking lot striping items were removed from the list of bid <br />items and will be done by the Parks Department. <br />The project was rebid on June 22 and bids from Bobby Smallwood Construction (BSC) and We Build <br />were received with BSC the low bidder at $93,393.60 (see accompanying bid tabulation).
