MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />August 9, 2010 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />August 9, 2010, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: <br />Will Biard <br />Council Members: <br />Joe McCarthy; Jason Rogers; John Wright; <br />and Edwin Pickle <br />City Staff: <br />Kevin Carruth, City Manager; Kent McIlyar, City <br />Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Bob Hundley, <br />Police Chief; Ronnie Grooms, Fire Chief; Gene <br />Anderson, Finance Director; Steve McFadden, <br />Interim Public Works Director; Kent Klinkerman, <br />EMS Director; Doug Harris, Utilities Director; <br />Shawn Napier, City Engineer; and Priscilla <br />McAnally, Library Director <br />Absent: Council Members: <br />Jason Rogers, Stephen Brown, and Rhonda Rogers <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Biard called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Dana Sale gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member McCarthy led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />Krystal Arrasmith, 2485 19t" N.W. - she expressed concern about a registered sex <br />offender that was given a waiver by the Parole Board and allowed to pass by Trinity Christian <br />Academy every day. <br />Rebekah Neely, 1810 Butler Lane - she expressed the same concerns as Ms. Arrasmith. <br />Mildred Prunty, 4015 19th N.W. - she expressed the same concerns as Ms. Arrasmith. <br />2 <br />
