CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2010. The meeting will be held at the Gity Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) Consent Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on September 13, 2010. 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. Planning & Zoning minutes (9-7-2010) b. Paris Economic Development Corporation minutes (8-5-2010; 8-11-2010) c. Paris Public Library Advisory Board minutes (8-18-10) 7. Deliberate on August monthly financial report. 8. Deliberate on the ditch drainage report. Regular Agenda 9. Public hearing, first reading, deliberate, and possibly act on an Ordinance approving the petition for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial District (C), on a 0.78 tract of land being a part of the Thomas Askins Survey, Abstract No. 6, and located at 4040 North Main Street. 10. Public hearing, first reading, deliberate, and possibly act on an Ordinance approving the petition for a change in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 3(SF-3) to a One-Family Dwelling District No. 3(SF-3) with a Specific Use Permit (39) Mobile Home, on Lot l, City Block 305, and located at 2690 Campbell Street.
