CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br />at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2010. The meeting will be held at the Gity Council <br />Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted <br />upon are as follows: <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />2. Invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />(Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more <br />than two minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from <br />responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to <br />an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims <br />against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel <br />appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br />Consent Agenda <br />Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such <br />approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member <br />may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a <br />separate item. <br />5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on September 13, <br />2010. <br />6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, <br />commissions, and committees: <br />a. Planning & Zoning minutes (9-7-2010) <br />b. Paris Economic Development Corporation minutes (8-5-2010; 8-11-2010) <br />c. Paris Public Library Advisory Board minutes (8-18-10) <br />7. Deliberate on August monthly financial report. <br />8. Deliberate on the ditch drainage report. <br />Regular Agenda <br />9. Public hearing, first reading, deliberate, and possibly act on an Ordinance approving <br />the petition for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial <br />District (C), on a 0.78 tract of land being a part of the Thomas Askins Survey, <br />Abstract No. 6, and located at 4040 North Main Street. <br />10. Public hearing, first reading, deliberate, and possibly act on an Ordinance approving <br />the petition for a change in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 3(SF-3) <br />to a One-Family Dwelling District No. 3(SF-3) with a Specific Use Permit (39) <br />Mobile Home, on Lot l, City Block 305, and located at 2690 Campbell Street. <br />
