Kevin Carruth
From: Kevin Carruth
Sent: Friday, September 24, 2010 3:38 PM
To: 'Edwin Pickle'
Cc: 'wbiard@sbcglobal. neY
Subject: RE:
Attachments: Kevin Carruth.vcf
See my comments below in turquoise:
1. Line 99: Substandard Building Demolition - Number of houses demolished per year for the past 3 years
Done.
2. Remove Section 8 completely - starts at Line 339
I have left Section 8 in. Including the City holidays may have an impact on a proposer's response.
Section 8 does not require a proposer to follow this schedule but merely makes them aware of the City's
schedule and what our customers are accustomed to already. Is there a specific reason you want to
exclude it for?
3. Section 9: Remove the last sentence in this paragraph beginning on line 359.
I have clarified that this information applies only to the residential collection portion of the RFP. This is
in here mainly because having the ability to know how a contractor's employees are being compensated
would be helpful to the City in the event the City has to assume collection services at some point in the
future.
4. Line 764: Residential Collection Personnel - Change from a minimum of 2 years to 90 days. Remove
the next sentence which extends to Line 765
I have left this in because the consensus of the Council was that protecting the employees was a top
priority. You will need to discuss this with the rest of the group on Monday.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
