A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT AND CLOSING THE CONTRACT FOR THE LAKE CROOK FISHING PIER CONSTRUCTION PROJECT, TO BOBBY SMALLWOOD CONSTRUCTION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on July 26, 2010, the City Council of the City of Paris passed Resolution No. 2010-082, awarding the contract for the construction of the Lake Crook Fishing Pier to Bobby Smallwood Construction Company, Inc., of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends that the contract now be closed upon receipt of an executed Affidavit of Final Payment and Release of All Claims; and, WHEREAS, the final payment to Bobby Smallwood Construction Company, Inc. in the amount of $9,339.36 should, in all things, be approved and the City manager should be authorized to execute any necessary documents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That final payment to Bobby Smallwood Construction Company, Inc. in the amount of $9,339.36 be approved and the closing of the Contract for the construction project at the Lake Crook Fishing Pier be accepted upon receipt of an executed Final Payment and Release of All Claims Affidavit by Bobby Smallwood Construction Company, Inc. Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, any necessary documents. Section 4.
