The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Paul Denney, Vice <br /> Chairman at 12:10 p.m. <br /> <br /> A. The following members were present: <br /> Paul Denney, Vice-Chairman <br /> Douglas Cox <br /> Ben Vaughan <br /> Jerry Raper <br /> <br /> B. The following members were absent: <br /> Matt Coyle <br /> Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br /> Susan Scholz, Secretary <br /> <br /> C. Also present were Jeanna Scott, City Staff; Cheri Bedford, Main Street <br /> Coordinator; and Robert Talley, Code Enforcement Supervisor. <br /> <br /> 2. Approval of minutes.fr•om previous minutes. (August 23, 2010) <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Jerry Raper to approve the minutes for <br /> the August 23, 2010 meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br /> 3. Consideration of and action on the.following Certificate of'Appropriateness: <br /> <br /> A. 574 Church Street - Jeanna Scott, City Staff presented the petition to the <br /> commission. Motion was made by Douglas Cox, seconded by Jerry Raper to <br /> approve the COA. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br /> 4. Discussion of and possible action regarding the, following structure considered by code <br /> inspectors to be in violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the <br /> Cite of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and <br /> Structures, " to determine whether such building or structure currently located within the <br /> city's historic district has special historic significance and should be protected from <br /> demolition and recommended for rehabilitation and repair being located at 301 Bonham <br /> Street. <br /> <br /> Commissioners discussed the possibility of this property being rehabilitated. The general <br /> consensus of the commission is this property is too far gone to be rehabbed. Motion was <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> oc)l( <br />
