POLICY ISSUE(S): Franchise BACKGROUND: Lone Star Cab Company is one of three taxicab services that has had a taxicab franchise for a number of years. The owner is David Thompson. The franchise allows them to use the public streets, alleys and highways of the City of Paris for the purpose of transporting passengers. The company has one taxi cab and is current on their franchise fees and insurance. Section 121 of the Paris City Charter requires three readings prior to approving franchises.
