<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br /> Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br /> at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2010. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br /> Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted <br /> upon are as follows: <br /> <br /> Opening Agenda <br /> <br /> 1. Call meeting to order. <br /> 2. Invocation. <br /> <br /> 3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 4. Citizens' forum. <br /> (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two <br /> minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any <br /> comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff <br /> person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or <br /> employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br /> <br /> Consent Agenda <br /> Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable <br /> to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed <br /> from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. <br /> 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on October 11, <br /> 2010. <br /> <br /> 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, <br /> commissions, and committees: <br /> <br /> a. Airport Advisory Board (7-15-10; 8-19-10) <br /> b. Paris Economic Development Corporation (9-14-10) <br /> c. Historic Preservation Commission (9-8-10; 9-27-10; 10-1-10) <br /> 7. Deliberate on September monthly financial report. <br /> <br /> 8. Deliberate on drainage ditch maintenance report. <br /> 9. Deliberate and act on appointment of a Council Member representative for I-30 <br /> Corridor Transportation issues. <br /> <br /> 10. Deliberate and act on a Resolution approving and authorizing a Professional <br /> Services Agreement with Greater Paris Development Foundation to perform <br /> certain specialized services through the Racial Diversity Task Force for the City <br /> of Paris. <br /> <br /> 11. Deliberate and act on a Resolution authorizing a Professional Services Agreement <br /> with the American Red Cross, Lamar County Chapter to perform certain <br /> specialized services to the City of Paris and its citizens; and authorizing the City <br /> Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. <br /> 12. Deliberate and act on a Resolution authorizing a Professional Services Agreement <br /> with the Lamar County Historical Society to perform certain specialized services <br />
