The <br /> City's match for the grant was $40,000, for a total project budget of $240,000. <br /> <br /> The proposed contract with Terracon is split into two phases. The first phase involves determining what <br /> hazardous materials and waste are on site and developing plans and specifications for removal. Phase 11 <br /> involves oversight of a remediation company to do the actual removal of the hazardous materials and <br /> waste in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations. The cleanup cost is preliminarily <br /> estimated at $125,000. <br /> <br /> Two representatives from Terracon walked through The Grand Theater on October 20`h in order to <br /> provide a better cost estimate but the proposed fee will not be available until October 25.
