The Children's Advocacy Center of Paris <br />The mission of the CAC is to protect and promote the healing of children who <br />have been physicaliy and/or sexually abused. This goal is completed using a <br />Multidisciplinary Team approach in which various entities including CAC staff, <br />investigators, prosecutors, therapists, medical providers and the community <br />at large work together to make certain that the investigation and prosecution <br />child abuse cases is completed in an efficient and timely manner. Every <br />effort is made to ensure that victims and their families receive any and all <br />services needed to promote healing and restoration after a crime has been <br />committed. <br />• The CAC is currently in its 11th year of operation <br />• 2:468 children and their non-offending family members have received <br />core and follow up services since 1999. <br />• The Center is located in a large two-story house and is currently staffed <br />with an Executive Director, a Forensic Interviewer, and an Advocacy <br />Services Coordinator/Administrative Assistant <br />• Services provided by the CAC include: <br />➢ Forensic Interviews <br />➢ Case Tracking <br />➢ Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team Members (MDT) <br />o Law Enforcement <br />o County Attomey's Office <br />o Child Protective Services <br />o Medical Providers (SANEs) <br />o Mental Health Providers <br />➢ Assistance with Crime Victim's Compensation <br />➢ Onsite Medical Exams by trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners <br />➢ Mental Health Referrals for victims & non-offending family members <br />➢ Court Preparation and/or accompaniment <br />➢ Clothing and basic needs assistance through their Rainbow Room <br />• The CAC is a private non-profit organization and all services are provided <br />at no cost to victims and their family members. <br />
