These programs are designed to reduce the onset of the use of <br />alcohol, tobacco and other drugs by youth. <br />Tobacco Compliance Checks: ETCADA staff provides education for retailers who sell <br />tobacco products to ensure that youth under age 18 are not allowed to purchase tobacco <br />and to ensure retailer compliance when receiving "tobacco stings" by law enforcement. <br />Community Presentations: ETCADA's professional staff accepts invitations from <br />organizations, churches and schools to educate people about alcoholism and drug <br />addiction and to raise awareness about prevention and intervention services available <br />throughout East Texas. <br />
