PARIS POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />WRECKER POLICY / RULES <br />l. Wrecker companies must have at least two (2) tow trucks. Must <br />meet all insurance requirements. <br />2. Must have wheel lift and self - loading dolly or rollback. <br />3. Must have telephone or radio contact in truck. <br />4. Must have tow - truck license plate and storage lot license. This <br />requires insurance under state law. <br />5. If not able to respond to our call in a reasonable amount of time, <br />dispatch must call negt tow - truck service an rotation list. Must <br />fallow list for back - up. <br />6. Duty time for wreckers to change going on - call is 6:00 AM. <br />7. No person involved in law enforcement shall be on rotation list. <br />8. Must use duty tow - truck for all towing unless vehicle operator <br />requests other service, If requested service is not immediately <br />aVaiiavic iipvu iiic vca.asivii vi au ui i 2si, iu2a'1i uuty ti'iw - ti:i^,i,i <br />may be calied. <br />9. Wrecker service on call can run all wrecks in the City of Paris on <br />his day an call. Should not respond to an accident site or other <br />police matter unless requested by dispatch. <br />10. Paris Police Department personnel will inspect requirements <br />annually. <br />11. Wrecker service must provide short - term (7 day), and seizure <br />storage for Paris Police Department at no charge. <br />12. Wrecker service must provide emergency pick - up or tow service <br />within the City of Paris on call - days at no charge. <br />- 41 <br />
