CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br />at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br />Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted <br />upon are as follows: <br />Opening Agenda <br />l. Call meeting to order. <br />2. Invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />(Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two <br />minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any <br />comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff <br />person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or <br />employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br />Consent Agenda <br />Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable <br />to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed <br />from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. <br />5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on October 25, <br />2010. <br />6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, <br />commissions, and committees: <br />a. Paris Public Library Advisory Board minutes (9-15-10 <br />b. Traffic Commission minutes (10-20-10) <br />Regular Agenda <br />7. Public hearing, deliberate, and act on an Ordinance of the City of Paris, Texas, <br />regulating procedures and policies pertaining to the operations of Wrecker, <br />towing, and Storage Facilities in the City of Paris. <br />8. Second reading and deliberate on an Ordinance granting to Steve B. Raney and <br />Wendy L. Raney, d/b/a Yellow Cab Company, an extension of an existing <br />franchise to use the public streets, alleys, and highways of the City of Paris for the <br />purpose of transporting passengers for hire in motor vehicles. (requires three readings) <br />9. Second reading and deliberate on an Ordinance granting to Steve B. Raney and <br />Wendy L. Raney, d/b/a City Cab Company, an extension of an existing franchise <br />to use the public streets, alleys, and highways of the City of Paris for the purpose <br />of transporting passengers for hire in motor vehicles.
