RESOLUTION NO. 2010-113 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AUTHORIZIIVG THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY OF PARIS AND PARIS R/C ASSOCIATION TO LEASE 3.673 ACRES OF <br />LAND NEAR LAKE GIBBONS FOR THE PURPOSE OF MODEL <br />AERONAUTICS ACTIVITIES; MAKIIVG OTHER FINDINGS A1VD PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; A1VD PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on October 10, 2005, <br />in Resolution No. 2005-128, authorize the execution of a lease agreement with the Paris <br />Radio Control Association to lease 3.673 acres of land near Lake Gibbons for the purpose of <br />model aeronautics activities for a term of five (5) years beginning October 1, 2005, and <br />ending November 30, 2010; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has received a request from the Paris <br />R/C Association to renew said lease; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of renewing said lease for a term of five (5) <br />years, beginning December 1, 2010, and ending IVovember 30, 2015; and, <br />WHEREAS, the form of the Lease Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should in <br />all things be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris should be authorized to execute <br />the same; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUIVCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby <br />in all things approved. <br />Section 2. That the form of the Lease Agreement with the Paris R/C Association <br />for 3.673 acres of land near Lake Gibbons be, and the same is hereby, approved. <br />Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to <br />execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the Lease Agreement with the Paris R/C Association, <br />upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto. <br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br />
