PoLicY IssuE(s): Drainage BACKGROUND: Attachments: 2010 Completed Drainage Problems - The attached list has several projects added, a few of which were routine maintenance of ditches. The other nineteen (19) addresses are drainage problems reported to us by citizens. Some examples of probleins that we have corrected in various ditches are silt, limbs, and overgrown vegetation. Completed Drainage Problems/House or Structures Flooded - No additional infonnation to report. Completed Drainage Problems -Previous to year 2010 - No additional information to report. Ongoing/Reoccurring Problems - 2720 Culbertson: The garage floods during heavy/moderate rainfall. The concrete ditch has been improved on the north side, but the box culverts are half full of silt. The ditch section south of Culbertson has not been improved and sti11 has a V bottom ditch from the old WPA program from the 1920s and 1930s. Silt needs to be removed on a monthly basis. Ditch needs to be widened to enlarge this section in the area. An engineering design needs to be developed ta iinprove this section of the old ditch from Culbertson to 26th S.E. so the water won't bottleneck.
