<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br /> Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br /> at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2011. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br /> Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted <br /> upon are as follows: <br /> <br /> Opening Agenda <br /> <br /> 1. Call meeting to order. <br /> <br /> 2. Invocation. <br /> 3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br /> 4. Citizens' forum. <br /> (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The <br /> Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the <br /> matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. <br /> Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not <br /> appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br /> Consent Agenda <br /> <br /> Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable <br /> to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed <br /> from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. <br /> 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on December 13, 2010. <br /> 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, <br /> <br /> commissions, and committees: <br /> <br /> a. Paris Historic Preservation Commission (11-22-2010) <br /> b. Planning and Zoning Commission (10-4-2010; 12-6-2010) <br /> c. Housing Authority (10-19-2010) <br /> <br /> 7. Deliberate on November monthly financial report. <br /> <br /> 8. Deliberate and possibly act on a Resolution affirming that the City of Paris has complied <br /> with the requirements of the Public Funds Investment Act and amending the City's <br /> Investment Policy. <br /> <br /> Regular Agenda <br /> <br /> 9. Deliberate and possibly act on a Resolution approving a Donation and Maintenance <br /> Agreement with Louise Hagood for the installation of a Verdin Clock at the southeast <br /> corner of the downtown plaza; and authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute <br /> all necessary documents. <br /> 10. Deliberate and possibly act on a Resolution authorizing and approving a proposal for the <br /> <br /> City Manager to enter into an Agreement with an outside consultant for redistricting <br /> analysis and services in accordance with 2010 Census Data; and authorizing the City <br /> Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. <br />
