RESOLUTION NO. 2010-127 A RESOLUTIOIV OF THE CITY COUIVCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR STONE WORK TO BRYCO - BRYANT COMPANY, FOR THE REPAIR AND RENOVATION OF THE BYWATERS PARK PERISTYLE IN PARIS, TEXAS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING A1V EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, advertise for bids for General Construction Work and Stone Work for the Peristyle Renovations and Restoration at the Bywaters Park, which bids were received unti12:00 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2010; and, WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bid for the stone work portion of the project was submitted by BRYCO - Bryant Company, 7509 Meadowside Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76132, in the amount of $123,700.00; and, WHEREAS, the contract for stone work should be awarded to BRYCO - Bryant Company in accordance with the unit prices bid and the other terms and conditions set out in the bid documents attached hereto as Exhibit A and the contract documents on file with the City Engineer; and, 1VOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUIVCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. The findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. The bid of BRYCO - Bryant Company for the stone work portion of the Peristyle Renovations and Restoration Project at Bywaters Park is hereby accepted as the lowest responsible bid which provides the best value to the City and the contract for this project is hereby let conditioned upon said contractor executing a construction contract (with required bonds) and insurancewith the City of Paris in a form substantially equivalent to the Construction Agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A. Section 3. The Mayor be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, any and all documents necessary for the project. Section 4. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon passage. DULY PASSED AND APPROVED this 20th day of December, 2010. Mayor
