MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />OLD COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />135 1" STREET S.E. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />THURSDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2010 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK PM <br />1. The Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Jack Ashmore at <br />5:30 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Jack Ashmore <br />Steve Gilbert <br />Fred Williams <br />Ray Ball <br />Jerry Coyle <br />Vic Ressler <br />Billy Copeland <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />None <br />C. Also present were Jeanna Scott, City Staff; Shawn Napier, Airport Director; and <br />Edwin Pickle, Council Member. <br />2. Approval of'minutes.from previous rrceeting. (September 16, 2010) <br />Motion was made by Steve Gilbert, seconded by Jerry Coyle to approve the minutes for <br />the September 16, 2010 meeting. Motion carried 7-0. <br />3. Update. from Alex Pickering, Scott's Custom Signs regarding tlte Air•port Sign. <br />Alex Pickering not at meeting. Chairman Ashmore stated the frame is now painted. <br />4. Discatssion of 'and possible action on bringing potential businesses to Cox Field. <br />Steve Gilbert stated nothing new on the proposal that was submitted. This is not bad <br />news; it means we are still in the running. Mr. Gilbert further stated there is another <br />project that is coming through the governor's office due in November and its called <br />project A.N.A. a national site location for a company that is building military aircraft. Mr. <br />Gilbert needs a list of the five largest based aerospace business employers with in fifty <br />miles of the site. Board members stated L3 in Greenville, E Systems, TNK machines, <br />Magnum Engines, Legend Cub out of Sulphur Springs and another machine shop that is <br />. 14 <br />
