The police department would like to apply for funding to purchase a software <br />interface from our records management vendor for accident reports. Due to changes in the manner of <br />how TxDOT accepts accident reports, these reports are entered into the records management system by <br />records clerks. This interface would allow the accident report to be imported into the records system <br />electronically without much human intervention. There is no cash or in-kind match required in the <br />grants. We are not totally optimistic about the probability of the grants being awarded due to the <br />economic situation.
