See confidential updaie as <br />necessary. <br />1. Continue to await Project Silverada decision from siie consu3tant. <br />2. Pursuing information and contact with new titanium joint manufacturing eampany locating in area. <br />3. Emerging Projects: Extreme EZ, Atom Bender, TDK West, Aacis and "raste Bud. <br />4. Confidential proiect updates provided in Lxecutive Session as required by 4pen Meetang Act. <br />Prajects and Activities Update <br />The following projects and activitses are on-going and will be brought before the PEDC IIoard for updates and <br />action as required. <br />l. Sara Lee - Na changes to repart. Met with plant manager and city manager in late 2010 to disGUSS process <br />improvements impacting wastewater effluent. <br />1 Dais Dairv - Awaiting completion of final incentive agreement to present fUr PEDC Board far review and <br />approval. Mel with Mr. Sokolsky and consultant 1-31-11 to discuss project status. <br />3. C-Tech Building - Marketing building is on-going to prospects as inquiries are made. Received lease rates <br />and sale price from Mr. Ackaberg. <br />lncubator - Business plan comp3eted. Proposed facility lease plans finalized, contingem on $oard action. <br />5. Business ketention & Expansion (BRE) Site Visits are on-going with major employer plant tours scheduled. <br />Several folla~N-up visits were made to these companies as needed: 'rumer, Campbell's, KC, HW}A Companies, Paris <br />Packagino. NextEra Energ} Resources (FP1,); Silgan Can, T&K Machine. Va)ley Feed Mill and T('1M, Daisy Farms, PRMC, <br />A&ro; Magnurn Engsnes, Paris Ford. Direct F.nerg~ ResourcesTaris Eoergy Center, Flex-O-Lite!Potter's Jndustries. <br />6. Cit-y of Paris Issues <br />a. Airpori Coanprehensive Plan - Pian presented publicly in December 2010. Next step: City Council and <br />?XDOT approval. 20 year plans must be reviewed in partnership with City to determine next sieps for <br />implernentation, funding sources and PEDC's role and formal agreement as master developer. <br />b. Main Street Economic Restructwing Cammittee - Committee convened and developing plans, including <br />discussion of Type B Sales Tax sssue. <br />c. See attached letter proposal for designation as a Cultural Districi by Texas Commission of the A.rts. <br />d. Evatuating Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) opportunities with City of Parss Ieadership. <br />e. RFP for Review of City of Paris "Developmeni Services" will be issued and reporled to Board upon <br />completion. <br />7. So, bv ean Extrusion Feasibili y Studv. Reviewed and updated final draft. Next steps 1o include meetings <br />with stakeholders and potential investors. <br />Miscellaneous Issues/tJpdates <br />a. Fit for Life PEDC Team successfully cornpleted the competition. <br />b. Nlo respanse from Lindmark Outdoor Advertising regarding billboard lease and adveriising issues, <br />c. Received proposal from Adams Engineering regarding industrial park projects, <br />d. Brush clean-up, tree trirnming and fence line clearing on YEDC property fronting l9th St. NW/Campbell <br />St. Jimmy Nicholson's Probation and Parole crews will continue ihe work unti] compJeted, weather <br />permitting. <br />89 <br />
