MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />MONDAY. FEBRUARY 21, 2011 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />Vicki Ballard acting Chairperson called the Building and Standards Commission meeting <br />to order at 4:03 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Johnny Norris <br />Vicki Ballard <br />Wendell Moore <br />Lee Ann Barbee <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Ryan Lassiter <br />Chris Brown <br />C. Also present was Robert Talley, Code Enforcement Officer. <br />2. Public Hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors and <br />owner(s) and/or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been given notice of <br />a violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, entitled ASubstandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures@ : <br />B. 1808 Margaret; Lot 7 and W25' of 8, Block 2, Anita Park Addition - Cheryl <br />Larkin Wood spoke at the meeting. Ms. Wood asked for time to repair the home. <br />Motion was made by Vicki Ballard, seconded by Wendell Moore, to allow 90 <br />days to repair. If the property is not repaired in 90 days the City may assess a <br />$1,000 per day civil penalty. Motion carried unanimously. <br />H. 410 Fitzhugh; Lot 5, City Block 66-A - Mike Malone spoke at the meeting. Mr. <br />Malone turned in plans to repair the structure enough to pass inspection. Motion <br />was made by Wendell Moore, seconded by Johnny Norris, to allow 90 days to <br />repair or demolish. If the property is not repaired or demolished in 90 days the <br />City may demolish, with a$1,000 per day civil penalty. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />A. 2208 West Kaufman; Lot 10, City Block 204 - Motion was made by Wendell <br />Moore, seconded by Lee Ann Barbee, to allow 90 days to demolish. If the <br />property is not demolished in 90 days the City may demolish, with a$1,000 per <br />day civil penalty. Motion carried unanimously. <br />C. 2615 West Sherman; Lot PT 1, 2, and 3, Block C, Porter's 2°d Addition - <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Wendell Moore, to allow 30 <br />11 <br />
