Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Kyle McCarley, seconded by Rick Hundley to approve the variance <br />request. Motion carried 4-0. <br />4. Public heaf•ing and consider-ation of'arad action on the petition of ' Tiny Ff-eelen to grant a <br />>>ai•iance of Zonitzg Ordiriance 1710, Sectiorz 9-602 whzch provides "on a cor-ner lot used <br />for oiae-family or t~~o faniily dwellings botli street expasures slaall be t~•eated as frorzt yards <br />on all lots platted after the effective date of this oi-dinance, except that whef-e one street <br />exposure is designated as a side _yat•d by a building line shown on a plat approved by the <br />Plmzning and Zoning Commission " to allow a mininium side yard of 17 feet, which is a <br />8,foot variance, on Lot 14, Block 9, BPlmont Addition, being number 804 12Ih Street <br />N. E. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Tiny Freelen, property owner; and Robert Smith, City Staff, spoke in favor of the <br />petition. Mr. Smith stated the Freelen's would like to build an addition to the back <br />of their home. The addition will be a bedroom for their children. Mr. Smith further <br />stated that this is an older neighborhood and most of the homes are built well into <br />the setback. <br />Alma Warsaw, 805 12`'' Street S.E., property owner spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Ms. Warsaw stated she had no problem with the construction. <br />Kay McNeal, 754 12th Street S.E., property owner spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Ms. McNeal stated she has property directly across the street. She is in favor of <br />the Freelen's doing this addition. <br />B. No one spoke in opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Rick Hundley, seconded by Allen Moore to approve the variance <br />request.
