POLICY ISSUE(S): Airport Planning BACKGROUND: At the October 13th, 2008 City Council meeting the City of Paris approved resolution 2008-091 which authorized the City Manger to proceed with a grant application for a Master Plan for Cox Field. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Aviation Division approved the application. After an RFP process Coffman & Associates was selected to perform the Master Plan. The City of Paris portion of the grant was 10% of the negotiated fee. The City's portion was $18,725.00. The kick off meeting was held December 14, 2009 and the final meeting of the advisory committee was held December 16th, 2010. The Airport Advisory Board voted unanimously to recommend approval of the Master Plan. The study can be viewed on line at www.coxfield.airportstudy.com.
