POLICY ISSUES): Special Events Permit BACKGROUND: The City of Paris has been approached by several different groups seeking permission to sell alcoholic beverages at their special events located on City property. The most recent request was from a group wanting to sponsor a music festival on City property at Cox Field. Existing City ordinances do not allow for the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages on public property. These proposed amendments to the City Code of Ordinances would provide new rules and regulations for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages at a special event located on City property.
