<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br /> Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br /> at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2011. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br /> Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted <br /> upon are as follows: <br /> <br /> Opening Agenda <br /> <br /> 1. Call meeting to order. <br /> <br /> 2. Invocation. <br /> 3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 4. Citizens' forum. <br /> <br /> (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The <br /> Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the <br /> matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. <br /> Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not <br /> appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br /> Consent Agenda <br /> Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable <br /> to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed <br /> from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. <br /> <br /> 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meetings on April 11, 2011 and <br /> April 14, 2011. <br /> 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, <br /> commissions, and committees: <br /> <br /> a. Planning and Zoning minutes (3-10-2011 and 3-28-2011) <br /> 7. Deliberate on March monthly financial report. <br /> 8. Deliberate on drainage ditch maintenance report. <br /> <br /> Regular Agenda <br /> <br /> 9. Public hearing, first reading, deliberate and possibly act on an Ordinance amending the <br /> City's Future Land Use Map as it pertains to the property located on Lot 2, Block 1; Lot <br /> 1, Block 2; Lots 1 and 2, Block 3, Lots 4-9, Block 6; Lots 1-10, Block 7; Lots 1-11, <br /> Block 8; Lots 7-12, Block 9; Lots 1-12, Block 10; Lots 1-12, Block 11; Lots 1-12, Block <br /> 12; Lots 1-12, Block 13, Texas and Pacific Addition; Lots 3 & 4, City Block 162 of the <br /> City of Paris, Lamar County, TX be changed from a Light Industrial Area (LI) to a Heavy <br /> Industrial Area (HI). <br /> <br /> 10. Public hearing, first reading, deliberate and possibly act an Ordinance considering the <br /> request for zoning change for the following tracts: (a) from a Light Industrial District (LI) <br /> to a Heavy Industrial District (HI) on Lot 2, Block 1; Lot 1, Block 2; Lots 1 and 2, Block <br /> 3; Lots 4-9, Block 6; Lots 1-10, Block 7; Lots 1-11, Block 8; Lots 7-12, Block 9, Texas <br /> & Pacific Addition; and Lots 3 and 4, Block 162; (b) and a change in zoning from a <br /> Commercial District (C) to a Heavy Industrial District (HI) on Lots 1-12, Block 10; Lots <br />
