<br /> <br /> <br /> Scope of Work - Lead Paint Abatement Irerracon <br /> Grand Theatre ® 21 Lamar Avenue, Paris, Texas <br /> April 11, 2011 in Terracon Project No. 94107645 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Disposal of Hazardous Liquid or Solid Wastes (as categorized by Owner's <br /> Representative): <br /> <br /> a. Comply with Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA), Department of <br /> Transportation (DOT), state and local regulations. <br /> b. Comply with DOT and state regulations for containers. The most stringent <br /> regulation shall apply. <br /> <br /> c. All waste is to be hauled by a licensed waste hauler with all required licenses <br /> from all state and local authorities with jurisdiction. <br /> <br /> d. Load all waste material into properly sized disposal bags, polyethylene <br /> sheeting, prior to being placed in lead-tight drums. Prior to transporting, all <br /> materials are to be contained in a DOT approved sealable steel drum with one <br /> of the following: <br /> • One, 6-mil layer of sheet polyethylene, duct tape all seams or <br /> • One, 6-mil disposal bag; or <br /> • Two, 4-mil disposal bags <br /> <br /> e. Protect interior of truck or dumpster with two (2) layers of 6-mil polyethylene <br /> sheeting will all seams sealed with duct tape. <br /> <br /> f. Load containerized waste in fully enclosed dumpsters or trucks for transport. <br /> <br /> g. Do not store containerized materials outside of the Work Area. Take containers <br /> from the Work Area directly to the designated storage area or enclosed <br /> dumpster or truck. <br /> h. At completion of hauling and disposal of each load submit copy of Uniform <br /> Hazardous Waste Manifest to Owner's Representative. <br /> <br /> 3.6 Clearance <br /> <br /> The lead risk assessor shall confirm job completeness by determining whether LBP <br /> has been abated according to the abatement plan. Once the surface has passed a <br /> visual inspection wipe sampling for lead dust concentrations shall be collected by the <br /> Owner's Representative and conducted as follows: <br /> <br /> <br /> a) Post-abatement or removal to determine if previously specified clearance <br /> criteria has been met in each area of remediation.
