<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br /> Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br /> at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2011. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br /> Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted <br /> upon are as follows: <br /> <br /> Opening Agenda <br /> <br /> 1. Call meeting to order. <br /> 2. Invocation. <br /> <br /> 3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 4. Citizens' forum. <br /> <br /> (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The <br /> Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the <br /> matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. <br /> Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not <br /> appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br /> 5. Public Announcements. <br /> <br /> a. Proclamation declaring the month of May as Historic Preservation Month. <br /> <br /> Consent Agenda <br /> Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable <br /> to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed <br /> from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. <br /> <br /> 6. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on April 25, 2011. <br /> 7. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, <br /> commissions, and committees: <br /> <br /> a. Paris Economic Development Corporation minutes (3-29-2011) <br /> <br /> Regular Agenda <br /> <br /> 8. Second reading, deliberate and act on an Ordinance approving and adopting revisions to <br /> the Future Land Use Plan Map for the City of Paris as it pertains to an area bounded by <br /> 6`h Street SE, Church Street, Paris Boulevard and the Union Pacific Railroad. <br /> <br /> 9. Second reading, deliberate and act on an Ordinance considering the request for zoning <br /> change for the following tracts: (a) from a Light Industrial District (LI) to a Heavy <br /> Industrial District (HI) on Lot 2, Block 1; Lot 1, Block 2; Lots 1 and 2, Block 3; Lots 4-9, <br /> Block 6; Lots 1-10, Block 7; Lots 1-11, Block 8; Lots 7-12, Block 9, Texas & Pacific <br /> Addition; and Lots 3 and 4, Block 162; (b) and a change in zoning from a Commercial <br /> District (C) to a Heavy Industrial District (HI) on Lots 1-12, Block 10; Lots 1-12, Block <br /> 11; Lots 1-12, Block 12; Lots 1-12, Block 13, Texas & Pacific Addition, said property <br /> being located generally between South Church Street, Sixth Street S.E., Paris Boulevard <br /> and Union Pacific Railroad. <br />
