RESOLUTION N0. 2011-040 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; APPROVING THE AIRPORT MASTER PLAN FOR COX FIELD AS SUBMITTED BY COFFMAN ASSOCIATES, INC.; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS RELATED THERETO, AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF $18,725.00 TO COFFMAN & ASSOCIATES AS THE CITY'S PORTION OF THE FINAL PAYMENT FOR THE AIRPORT MASTER PLAN; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on October 13, 2008 the City Council of the City of Paris approved resolution 2008-091, which authorized the City Manager to proceed with a Grant Application for an Airport Master Plan for Cox Field. WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT), Aviation Division Approved the City's Grant Application.; and, WHEREAS, after conducting a request for proposal process, Coffman & Associates was selected to perform the Airport Master Plan for Cox Field; and, WHEREAS, during the last year Coffman & Associates has worked with the City Council, City Staff, The Airport Advisory Board, Airport users, and other interested citizens of Paris to develop this Airport Master Plan for Cox Field. WHEREAS, On February 24, 2011, the Airport Advisory Board voted unanimously to recommend approval of the Airport Master Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. The findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. The Airport Master Plan for Cox Field as submitted this date by Coffman and Associates, Inc., be, and hereby is approved and accepted. Section 3. Final payment of $18,725.00 be made to Coffman & Associates, Inc. as the City's portion of the final payment due Coffman & Associates, Inc. for the Airport Master Plan for Cox Field and authorizing the City Manager to execute any and all necessary documents related to this Airport Master Plan. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective immediately upon passage.
