RESOLUTION NO. 2011-041 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER N0. ONE TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN R. K. HALL CONSTRUCTION AND THE CITY OF PARIS, FOR THE SOUTH COLLEGIATE DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION - SOUTH LOOP 286 TO BIG SANDY CREEK PROJECT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on June 28, 2010, the City Council of the City of Paris passed Resolution No. 2010-071, awarding the contract for the South Collegiate Drive Reconstruction Project, to R.K. Hall Construction, LTD of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Shawn Napier, acting as project engineer, recommends the amendment of the contract for said project based on the actual materials to be used, and providing for a net increase of $8,233.30 in the contract price, for a revised contract price of $1,473,973.70, the contract time will be increased by 90 calendar days, the date for completion of all work will be July 27, 2011; and, WHEREAS, Change Order No. One attached hereto as Exhibit "A", should in all things, be approved, and the City Manager should be authorized to execute the necessary documents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That Change Order No. One to the Contract between R.K. HALL Construction and the City of Paris for the South Collegiate Drive Reconstruction - South Loop 286 to Big Sandy Creek Project, attached hereto as Exhibit A, providing for a net increase of $8233.30 in the contract price, for an amended total contract price of $1,473,973.70, and a 90-day increase in contract time be, and the same is hereby approved. Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, any necessary documents, upon the terms and conditions in Exhibit "A", attached hereto.
