Sullivan, RE, Public <br /> Council Date: City Council Works Director 9. <br /> 05/23/11 <br /> RECOMMENDED MOTION: <br /> Not an action item. <br /> POLICY ISSUE(S): <br /> Drainage <br /> <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> <br /> <br /> Attached is a copy of the Public Works Department's Drainage Report. <br /> <br /> Significant changes in the report have been made as listed below: <br /> • The title of the report has been revised to more accurately describe the function of the report. <br /> • The date of the activity has been included as requested by the Council. <br /> • During our review of the document it was discovered that the maintenance of storm sewers, <br /> culverts and inlets were not included in previous reports. This oversight has been corrected. <br /> <br /> Ongoing/Reoccurring Problems: <br /> <br /> Some of these issues will require actual design and construction to resolve. Also, we are reviewing <br /> some additional issues with Engineering once these are properly identified they may be included on next <br /> month's report. Engineering and Public Works are meeting with our consultant who developed the <br /> Master Drainage Plan prepared in the 90's to discuss updating the Master Drainage Plan and developing <br /> a program to address the ongoing and reoccurring issues.
