POLICY ISSUE(S): Contract BACKGROUND: This contract is for the demolition and disposal of dilapidated structures. The advertisement for bids was published in the Paris News on May 29t" and June Sth. One bid was submitted. The bid was opened on Tuesday June 14, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. Staff recommends awarding the bid to Sanitation Solutions in the amount of $29.00 per ton. The price per ton for the last demolition contract was $22.00 per ton. The contract is for 12 months from the date of the contract execution.
