The staff requests direction on the need for amendments to the current noise ardinance. POLICY ISSUE(S): Administration Former mayor Will Biard had requested that some operational time limitations be placed on sanitation pickup in or near residential areas. There was discussion about finding a balance between maintaining quite neighborhoods early in the morning and safety concerns dealing with sanitation trucks operating in rush hour traffic if they are not permitted to begin collection early enough to avoid heavy traffic. Enclosed in your packet is a map that identifies residentially zoned property and all other zoned property. Does the council wish the staff to meet with local providers about this issue? At a recent City Council Meeting, Councilman Wright stated that he had received several complaints from city residents about late night noise coming from the area where Buffalo Joes and Crosswire clubs are located. He asked that this issue be placed on a later agenda for City Council discussion.
