CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />AND <br />LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT <br />Amount Requested: $14,299.00 ($7,149.50 for the City of Paris and $7,149.50 for Lamar <br />County) <br />CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />BUDGET NARRATIVE <br />Amount Requested: The City of Paris, Texas, Police Department is respectfully requesting <br />$7,149.50 of the total funds allocated to the disparate jurisdictions. <br />Budget: <br />Year 1: 11 Semi-automatic rifles. <br />TOTAL REQUEST $7,149.50 <br />Narrative: The proposed expenditure will allow the City of Paris Police Department to replace <br />seriously worn and unreliable patrol rifles in front line patrol cars in use by the uniform Patrol <br />Division. These rifles will be used to protect officers and citizens alike. <br />LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />BUDGET NARRATIVE <br />Arriount Requested: The Lamar County, Texas, Sheriffs Office is respectfully requesting <br />$7,149.50 of the total funds allocated to the disparate jurisdictions. <br />Budget: <br />Option lYear 1: 1 Mobile Video Camera <br />5 Radio Unit Console <br />1 Push Guard <br />TOTAL REQUEST $7,664.00 <br />Option 2 Year 1 1 Mobile Video Camera <br />3 Radio Unit Console <br />1 Push Guard <br />TOTAL REQUEST $7,162.18 <br />Narrative: At the time of this request, Sheriff McCoy has two options to be considered. Option 1 <br />will require a local cash match of $514.50. Option 2 will require a local cash match of $12.68. <br />Either option will allow the Lamar County Sheriff's office to provide replacement equipment for <br />their vehicle patrol units. <br />_ _ - 19 <br />
