CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, ar employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) Consent Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on June 11, 2011. Regular Agenda 6. Public hearing, deliberate and act on a Resolution authorizing the application for Justice Assistance Grant Program, 2011-H4495-TX-DJ authorizing an inter-local agreement with Lamar County; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. 7. Deliberate and act on a Resolution approving final payment and closing the contract with Richard Drake Construction Co., LP for the Trail de Paris extension between SE 8t" and 12Ih Streets; authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. 8. Deliberate and act on a Resolution appointing members to the Board of Directors of the ARK-TEX Council of Governments and recommending Mayor Hashmi to serve on the Executive Committee of the ARK-TEX Council of Governments. 9. Deliberate and act on a Resolution appointing a Council Member to the Visitors and Convention Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County. 10. Deliberate and act on appointment of City Council Members to serve as liaisons on city boards, committees, and commissions. 11. Deliberate and provide direction on amendments to the Noise Ordinance (establishment of non-residential trash and waste collection and operating hours for businesses holding outdoor concerts).
